AEW Dynamite Results: Winners, Live Grades, Reaction and Highlights From July 10 (2024)

Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of AEW Dynamite on July 10.

This week's show was a bit bigger than usual due to featuring the finals of the men's and women's Owen Hart tournaments.

Let's take a look at what happened during Wednesday's episode of Dynamite.

After a quick video package that recapped MJF turning on Daniel Garcia, Ospreay made his way out for a promo. He sat in the corner and ran down MJF for several minutes. The Devil appeared on the big screen and challenged Ospreay for the international title.

After Ospreay accepted the challenge and left the ring, Danielson came out for the finals of the men's Owen Hart tournament. Jeff Jarrett served as the enforcer at ringside.

It didn't take long for the new angry Hangman to ground Danielson and begin pounding on him. The American Dragon didn't make it easy on him, but it felt like Hangman was in control more often than not.

Danielson was a bloody mess after the break and Page was trying to open his wound up with punches to the head. Double J watched as Hangman fought out of a LeBell Lock and hit a nice high-angle back suplex.

These two work so well together and added another fantastic performance to their resumes. This felt totally different from their last match thanks to Page's new attitude. This bout had a little bit of everything and had the crowd fully invested.

Danielson's neck was Page's main target. The ringside doctor checked on him a few times and Danielson barely made it back to the ring to avoid a countout. He accidentally knocked the ref out with a running knee and Page took the opportunity to use his belt as a weapon.

Double J tried to intervene and revealed a ref shirt under his own. Both competitors came close to winning, but it was Danielson who was able to win with a counter into a pin. Page stormed off looking upset as a bloody and battered Danielson was presented with the belt for winning by Martha Hart.

Result: Danielson defeated Page

Grade: A-

Notable Moments and Observations

Swerve came out before the break. Danielson was gone by the time we got back, so Swerve spoke more about joining Blood and Guts as part of team AEW. He ended the promo by implying he would end Danielson's career at All In.

After a music video from The Acclaimed, Joe and Jericho had a Stampede Street Fight. Joe took Jericho's cowboy hat and used it as a distraction so he could take the first shot.

Joe took out Bryan Keith before Jericho took control with some help from a chair. He tried to use some horseshoes as a weapon, but Joe dropped Jericho onto them instead. After we returned from a break, Joe took Jericho into the crowd to continue beating on him.

This match had some entertaining moments, but the pacing was a little off in some places. Once they got backstage, Big Bill and Keith helped The Learning Tree get the upper hand.

They loaded Joe onto a forklift and Jericho drove it through a makeshift wall. The doctor called off the match and Jericho was declared the winner.

Result: Jericho defeated Joe

Grade: C+

Notable Moments and Observations

After Joe was loaded into an ambulance, an International Championship shot was on the line in a Fatal 4-Way with Castagnoli, Fletcher, Ishii and Pac.

They wasted no time going from 0-60. Everyone was fighting all over the place, but Castagnoli emerged as the early leader before the show went to a break.

They packed a lot into the time they had. We saw sequences with every combination of opponents and some great multi-man spots.

This was an entertaining sprint that made all four men look good, but after everything was said and done, Pac emerged as the winner after making Fletcher tap out to The Brutalizer.

Result: Pac defeated Fletcher, Castagnoli and Ishii

Grade: B+

Notable Moments and Observations

Mercedes came out to have a celebration for winning the NJPW Strong Women's Championship at Forbidden Door. She butchered Bret Hart's catchphrase when giving her promo. She was eventually interrupted and driven off by Britt Baker.

The main event of the night was the women's Owen Hart finals between May and Nightingale. Luther and Toni Storm were by May's side for support.

They began with a basic lockup and a little chain wrestling. The Babe with the Power took control and began overpowering May, but it didn't last long. May quickly turned this into a more competitive exchange with a quick counter.

AEW gave them a lot of time and promised an overrun to give them a few extra minutes, and they filled that time with a hard-fought exchange that made them both look like worthy winners of the tournament.

Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway interfered while the ref was occupied with Storm, but Willow kicked out after a running knee from May, but she was unable to kick out of a victory roll a few moments later.

Willow shook her hand and left so May could celebrate with Storm. As soon as she grabbed the Owen belt, she leveled the women's champion. She beat down Storm and Luther with the belt and sent Luther off the stage through some tables.

Storm was bleeding from the head as May used her shoe to inflict more damage. The show ended with Storm a crying, bloody mess as May stood over her.

Between the match and the turn at the end, this was the perfect way to end the show and kick off this new feud.

Result: May defeated Nightingale

Grade: A-

Notable Moments and Observations

As a whole, this was one of the best episodes of Dynamite in 2024. It has everything you could ask for from an episode of AEW TV.

The promos we got from various people all helped set up various feuds for All In and Blood and Guts, but it was in the ring where everything was clicking.

Joe and Jericho's Street Fight was a good angle, but the match itself was down the middle. The other three bouts all excelled in different ways.

Page and Danielson put on an absolute banger, the Fatal 4-Way was an entertaining exhibition of four very different talents, and the main event delivered a tremendous ending to the Owen Hart tournament and a turn from May that is going to have a lot of people talking.

Storm ending Dynamite with blood and tears streaming down her face as her former protege stood over her with an evil grin is the perfect way to initiate the next chapter of their story.
