okay so I took the NIPT test and then I got a email saying Qnatal results and at the top its saying "Y chromosome" Deteceted and at the bottom is says "Y accuracy" 99.98 does that mean its a boy or what ??? im really confused

yes it does! That is exactly what happened to me with Qnatal. I didn’t even mean to find out just saw the Y chromosome detected and then below it it said “consistent with a male fetus”. You’re having a boy mama!

oh my gosh girl I totally get it. I couldn’t believe what I was looking at! My poor boyfriend had to find out from me instead of us finding out together. My doctor actually felt pretty bad about it. They should warn us!!

XX = female
XY = male
If a Y chromosome is detected on your NIPT, that means baby is a boy.

I only know bc I’m a nurse and had to take hella biology in college. That was 14 years ago but it sticks with you.
I’m having a boy as well! Found out 2 weeks ago on my NIPT results.

Im sorry the Drs office shouldve asked if you wanted to know or not. My office verified several times with me if i want to know ( we do).
