Rated 1 out of 5 by Leuw from Die within 2 years When we got it, there was an issue of clicking noise when open/close the door. We call Whirlpool and have the guy over to fix the problem under the warranty. He used the nail filing the get rid of excessive plastic part which i thought it was a very cheap fix and they could have just replace the imperfections part. However, we were let it go because it does the job. Two years after purchased, the fridge started to freeze everything. A week later, all my icecream in the freezer are melting and the meat started to thaw! Of course, the warranty is for a year! I have never seen refrigerators that works for two years!!! Very bad quality!

Rated 1 out of 5 by barneymxb from Do not buy this! I had this refrigerator for less than 2 years when the temperature became irregular. First my lettuce was freezing then the freezer and fridge gradually stopped cooling. I called a local repairman since the 1 year warranty had expired. He found the metal tubing to the evaporator had a large hole where the tubing bended and the unit was not worth repairing. He added that this part used to be warrantied for 5 years and was changed to one. I can only assume this is because they are using cheaper materials and know it won't last. I got no satisfaction from customer service since I hadn't used a Whirlpool "technician." I will avoid Whirlpool from now on.

That it is energy efficient.I have now bought the same refrigorator twice in 3 years. However I was not planning needing to buy another new refrigorator in less then 3 years. I bought the same whirlpool refrigorator less then 3 years ago 2/14/14 at NFM. The freezer temperature was not staying good? , then the frig orator tempurature varied. Then the freezer just quit. The choice to repair or replace. I replaced. I had canceled my warrenity. My previous refrigorator did not have an ice making, which I heard can break down. Also , the cost of the refrigorator was less then $700.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from loud noise I bought this about a month ago. At first it made a very loud noise. I got on the Whirlpool web site under the help area. I was surprised that they wanted money to speak to me about my problem. This was a brand new refrigerator. I was not happy. My husband took off the back cardboard and found that the coil was vibrating against it and there was an indent in the backing where it was against. He put a small sticky foot pad onto that spot and now we don't have the loud noise anymore. He made sure not to try to bend the coil wire. Maybe he could get a job with Whirlpool service. I hope this helps someone else. Works Great Now!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Widow Lady from A little disappointing I’ve had this refrigerator for several weeks now. It’s attractive and relatively quiet, but I have found a couple problems. Maybe not so much with the appliance as with the installation. There is still plastic that I can’t remove from the outside. The installers should have had me remove the plastic before installing the door handles. I can’t get the plastic removed from around the handles and there is one spot on the front door that I don’t know how to remove. Also, I had some ice cream bars stored in the freezer door that were almost melted after they had been there for a week. I’m sure that these problems can be resolved by someone other than myself .

I chose this model because it gave me a lot of food storage with 19 cubit feet but it still fit in the space in my kitchen. Also, I love the stainless steel doors. I must add that I did not give it a five star rating for 2 reasons. The first is aesthetic. The top hinge of the freezer door is completely uncovered. You just see this big clunky hinge with bolts. A simple cover would make it look much better. The second is that there is a strange lubricant on the hinges and drawer slides. I got it on my fingers when I was washing it. Other than these small things, I am loving my new fridge and it’s working great.
